Your bank account statements
We've improved your statements:
We've listened to your comments and improved your statements. You told us that they should be easier to read and understand, so we've introduced a new design. The new statement includes a simple summary section which will help you to see at a glance:
- how much money has been paid in to your account
- how much money has been paid out of your account
Your statement summary at a glance:
Your Account:
- Money In – this is how much money has been paid in between the dates shown
- Money Out – this is how much money has been paid out between the dates shown
- Closing Balance – this is how much money you had in your account on the day the statement was printed
For bank statements, the new design will also show the following:
Your Account:
- Amount of credit interest we pay on the money in your account
- Amount of debit interest charged on your account if you have been overdrawn
- Amount of fees paid – fees that you have paid by going over your arranged overdraft or going overdrawn without an arranged overdraft limit during the statement period. If we can't pay an item because you don't have enough money in your account, this will incur a fee which will be shown here. Sometimes we will pay an item for you even though you don't have enough money in your account and this will also incur a fee which will be shown here.
- Top credits & debits – up to 3 of your highest value credits and debits within the statement period
Your interest rates
- The amount of credit interest we pay on the balance of your account when it is in credit
- The amount of debit interest you pay on the balance of your account when it is in debit depending on whether you have an arranged overdraft or not
Historical Information
You may notice more information about interest rates and fees at the end of your transactions. This will only be shown if there have been any changes to the interest rates and fees during your statement period and will help you identify what changed and when.
Fees explained
Fees that will apply to your account if you go over an arranged overdraft limit or go overdrawn without an arranged overdraft limit. If you have an Ultimate Reward Current Account, this section will also tell you what the monthly fee is.
The transaction pages of your statement will show you:
